Tighty Righty (2011)

back to performance

previous   back

This is the first section of the performance: 10 min of photo slideshow projected on the wall.

Using a Canadian pianist Glenn Gould and a French writer Andre Gide as starting points, Tighty Righty mixes and remixes physical images of adrenaline with writings of rhythmical texture and obsession. The performance is presented in a thread installation that subtly yet sharply defines a performance space, along with a slideshow of 2354 portrait photographs in a rapid succession as a preface.

Premiered at Pieter in Los Angeles CA in July 2011
Presented at 937 Gallery in Portland OR in August 2011
